Drop Notch for macOS
Version 1.0.47 · macOS 14 or later
- Open the .dmg and drag Drop Notch into Applications.
- First launch: right-click the app and choose Open. macOS warns once about apps from outside the App Store; the shows what that looks like.
- Press ⌥ Space and sign in with this same account.
Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac. “Chip: Apple M…” is Apple Silicon; “Processor: Intel” is Intel.

Early access is free, and stays free for you.
When paid plans start, receipts and payment details will appear here. Your early-access licence is not affected.
Set a password
Installing
- Open the disk image from your Downloads and drag Drop Notch into Applications. It has to live there to update itself.
- Right-click it, then choose Open the first time. Double-clicking gets refused, because the app is not notarised yet. This happens once.
- Press ⌥Space and start typing.
If macOS says it is damaged
It is not. Run this once in Terminal, then open it again.

Signing in on a Mac
Open Settings from the menu bar icon, and sign in under Account. Your licence follows the account, so there is no key to type. That Mac then holds one device seat, which you can free from the Devices page.
